PETCO unsanitary storage facility
I have an important alert for anyone who may have recently purchased pet food from a PETCO retail store.
Two FDA inspections of an Illinois PETCO distribution center have revealed products stored in unsanitary conditions, including rodent and pest contamination.
The Illinois distribution center provides pet foods to PETCO locations in 16 states: Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.
The FDA cautions: "Consumers who have handled products originating from the PETCO distribution center should thoroughly wash their hands with hot water and soap. Any surfaces that came in contact with the packages should be washed as well. Consumers are further advised as a precaution to thoroughly wash products sold in cans and glass containers from PETCO in the 16 affected states."

Last Chance For CatahoulaX Pups!
Three of the Catahoula puppies (more about them on a previous post) were dumped at the shelter by another (supposed) rescuer. All three were scheduled for euthanasia. I bailed out one at my own expense; now another one has been "jailed".
Please help! Due to failing health, I can no longer care for the puppies. These two pups have been started on housebreaking, sit/stay, leash, etc. Both are sweet and deserving of a good home. Lucky is a great herding/service/companion prospect. Lucy is a great companion prospect, but due to blindness in one eye, her other natural traits and abilities may (or may not) be affected.
Please don't let another great dog be killed!

"Got my horse, got my dog - don't need no cowboy!"
This is my 25 yr. old Buckskin Paso Fino gelding - doing great with a healthy diet, regular hoof care, and a lot of love. We have been together 25 years (I rode his mama when she was pregnant)
This rescued dog likes to hang out with him. (Not for adoption!)
